Summer came way too early this year in the UAE, and June was one of those unbearably hot months. The heat coupled with humidity was bad news for our skin, as we had to prevent it from getting oily while simultaneously moisturizing like crazy!

Here are some facial products that really helped us get through the month.

Phyto-C- B5 Gel

We’d never let go of this product! It’s a moisturizer that not only keeps your skin soft and smooth, but also hydrates and nourishes your skin, as well as reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. The beauty of this product is that just a tiny drop of this gel spreads so vastly that it can moisturize your whole face. This little bottle can last you an entire month!

Esthederm – Photo Reverse Sun Cream

This is an excellent sunscreen for the summertime, especially when you’re prone to dry skin! This cream provides the maximum protection against UV rays, and blocks and reverses pigmentation. It also doesn’t leave any white streaks on your face while applying, and is known to have a brightening effect. It’s simply great at protecting your skin from the ageing effects of the sun.

 

It’s tough wearing makeup in humid weather. No matter how much you try to set your makeup, you feel like your makeup is just melting off your face! Here are some makeup products that really stuck through this month:

Kylie- Liquid Lipsticks

These liquid lipsticks really stick! Even after a long day at work, eating, drinking, and even wiping your lips, the color hangs on for dear life! Kylie’s collection includes beautiful colors that range from the subtle nude all the way to the flashy red. We couldn’t just buy one color- we had to have a mix of matte and glossy lipsticks in various colors. Dior – PUMP’N’VOLUME Mascara

This is the latest mascara in Dior’s fabulous makeup collection, and we’re in love with it! This product has proved to bring the maximum volume for our eyelashes. All you have to do is squeeze the end of the bottle to “pump” it, which coats the brush with a soft formula. Then simply apply the mascara and watch your lashes volumize to the extreme- without clumping! The only downside to this product is that it’s not waterproof, but it’s resilient and long-lasting, proven by how long it takes to remove it at the end of the day.

The Balm- Nude’tude Eyeshadow Palette

If you’re someone who loves nude eyeshadow colors, then this is the palette for you! This is a relatively older product, which we started using a couple of years ago, but it has a long duration and is extremely useful. This palette has all the colors we need for a daily fresh look. Not to mention, we just love the titles of the different eye shadow colors!
