August’s beauty favorites

We’re extremely loyal beauty consumers-  when we love a product that’s making a difference, we’ll stick to it! And we usually try lots of different products before claiming we love them. Here are a few basic beauty essentials that we truly love!

MAC’s Matchmaster concealer

This creamy stick concealer is a life-saver, especially if you have dry skin! It’s probably not the best concealer for those who have dark circles around their eyes, but for those who have a bit of darkness and are looking for light – medium coverage that’s super natural, this is definitely a daily essential. You can’t even tell you’re wearing concealer with this baby! Some women also use it for blemishes or as a foundation, but we find it works best as an under-eye concealer.

Lush – Sympathy for the skin

We’re all looking for the most natural and healthy skin products that keep our skin soft and hydrated. And when we think natural ingredients, we immediately think of Lush! All lush products are hand-made, natural and 100% vegetarian- while some products are vegan. This smooth body cream is made of cocoa butter, almond oil, and vanilla-banana cream – made with organic bananas. It’s nourishing and soothing, especially if you have dry or irritated skin. Pregnant women looking for something natural to use can definitely benefit from Lush’s products.

La Prairie- Extrait Of Skin Caviar Firming Complex

This is a product we’ve known since we were little girls, as we watched our mothers’ boast about La Prairie products and how they preserve youth and beauty. La Prairie is known to be one of the best skin care products, which re-energizes cells to preserve the skin and fight the aging process. From their wide collection of products, this facial moisturizer is one of our beauty essentials. We love how light and smooth it is on the skin! We use it as a primer, providing a unique smoothness that really helps with make up application. What’s better than that is that it serves as an intensive, nutritious moisturizer that firms, lifts and hydrates the face. Even though this brand is pricey, it’s worth the benefits in the long-run.

Golden Rose – Nail Polish

Sometimes we don’t have time to visit a nail salon, and end up having to do a quick fix at home. We have lots of OPIs and Esses in our personal collections, but we have an additional brand we adore called Golden Rose. It’s a European cosmetic brand that offers a wide range of beauty products but we’re in love with its nail polish collection. We find their nail polish explicitly long-lasting – even when we get our hands dirty with dish washing and house cleaning. Its nail brush is also designed in a way that makes it easy for non-professionals like us to do a good job ourselves. It’s an affordable brand with a wide range of beautiful colors. The only downside is that you can’t find this brand in the UAE, so you’ll have to look for it abroad or in the duty free!

BVLGARI – Eau parfumée au thé vert

We have a thing for perfumes; we love learning the essence and story behind each fragrance. This perfume is a special one, because it pays homage to Japanese Green Tea. We are huge tea lovers, especially green tea, which is why we were intrigued to test this perfume. Once we did we fell in love! It’s such an elegant fragrance with a refreshing scent that awakens your senses. It’s a perfect morning scent, but you can wear it any time during the day- your preference!

We’d love to hear what your beauty essentials are! Please don’t hesitate to comment or write to us with your beauty product suggestions.

Sincerely,

Sisi & Rara
