One of the most exciting parts about getting married is moving to a new house and making it your own. Your home is a reflection of who you are, and even though it’s not always spotless and perfect, at least you can find a way to make it tell your story. Fortunately, my partner and I both have similar tastes in decor, so it was easy to furnish our home together.
We chose neutral colors for the furniture like white, beige and pastels. White is my favorite color, because of its calming and luminous effect, and I definitely wanted to incorporate it into my home. I’m also someone who gets bored easily, so having neutral colors makes it easier for me to constantly mix and match.
Choosing home accessories was a bit challenging, especially because of how detail-oriented I am. It’s the little things that really transform a home and make it unique- the choice of flowers, candles and decorative pillows. And these details are the fun part of furnishing.
Home décor is a long and exciting journey that doesn’t happen in one day and needs constant maintenance to keep things interesting. I chose the rustic/ shabby chic theme because I find this style, beautiful, creative and soothing in a home. I have to admit it wasn’t the easiest choice, because it took a while to find the right furniture and decor. But to me, it was totally worth the wait!
There’s no such thing as a “perfect” home- there’s a home you love and that’s the most important thing,
Sincerely,
Rara
